Art in EYFS (2023-2024)

In Reception, the children have created self-portraits by exploring their facial features and mixing colours to create different tones. In response to the Rainbow song, the children have printed their own rainbows using a range of materials including their fingers. In addition, they have used printing techniques to complete a poppy scene for Remembrance Day and a winter scene of a penguin. To create an image of a tree in winter the children layered tissue paper onto a tree print and used glitter to add a snowy effect. The children used PVA glue, paint, chalks and glitter to create firework scenes.
