It's all Greek for the Year 5's!

The children of Year 5 really entered into the spirit of everything Ancient Greek, with a focused day to round of this half-term's topic work. The morning saw all 90 children (and staff) fully 'kitted' out in some amazing Greek inspired costumes - from Athena to Poseidon they all looked fabulous. During the first sessions the children were transported back in time to play an Ancient Greek board game called Petteia, solve a puzzle designed by Archimedes and answer questions about Greek Myths and Monsters. 

In the afternoon the children took part in the Ancient Greek Olympics (thankfully, unlike the Ancient Greeks, our athletes were fully clothed!) They threw javelins, raced and wrestled their way through the afternoon. A brilliant time was had by all.
