Get Your Kit On 2019 - Rugby Style
Posted On: 25 October 2019
Building on the current 'World Cup Rugby fever' and following the amazing event last year, the children and staff of Church Langley looked fantastic in a range of sport inspired kits. The morning began with the children from Year 3, the Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 venturing onto the all-weather pitch in year groups to take part in some fun rugby themed skills led by Mr Stacey, Mrs Pardoe, Miss Lott and Mr Hammond. The children ran, chased and tagged each other in various drills, with the adults joining in much to the delight of the children. The smiles and enjoyment were written all over the children’s faces; they were physically shattered after their session – as were some of the adults!
Immediately following lunchtime, the staff again took to the all-weather surface to take part in a series of activities for Year 4 before the Years 5 and 6 joined forces to practise some contact rugby skills - there were scrums, lineouts and rucking with pads before they put those skills into small game situations. As always, it was great fun and the children were great company. The day was a real success. Well done to everyone involved.
