Easter Fayre
You may recall, in a previous newsletter sent home in January, that I requested every child bring an Easter egg into school for our forthcoming Easter Fayre, which is an event requested by the children. Some of you have already sent your eggs in – thank you. However, if you have not yet sent a chocolate egg into school, please could I request that you do so as soon as possible, but by Wednesday 2nd April at the latest. Thank you.
On Thursday 3rd April EVERY child will need a packed lunch please, since the hall will be set up for the Easter Fayre and will not be accessible for lunches. The Easter Fayres will be run in a very similar fashion to the Christmas Bazaars. Children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 will pay a fixed price to take part in a set number of activities – a separate letter will be sent home very soon – whereas children in KS2 are invited to bring in money to spend at stalls and activities of their choosing. The amount of money children in KS2 bring is up to parents and carers, but stalls will be priced at 50p or £1.00.
Throughout Thursday and Friday of next week, the children will be engaging in a wide range of Easter related activities. There will be an Easter egg hunt for children in Key Stage 1 and an Easter bonnet/hat parade for children of all ages if they would like to take part on Friday 4th April with prizes for the best bonnets/hats in KS1 and KS2. Hats will be made at home with parental support – please don’t forget to send them with the children on Friday 4th.
